Open Data Competition

It’s a competition, so there must be some rules. Have a read of them below.

  1. The judges’ decision is final and binding and there is no appeal process available to you.
  2. You must disclose if you have a prior relationship with any judge.
  3. Applications made after the closing date (Friday 15th March 2013 at 1700) will not be considered.
  4. Applications must be made using the online entry form.
  5. We may reasonably extend the closing date for applications or waive any of the terms and conditions where a person might otherwise be disqualified (without obliging us to waiver or amend other terms in any other case whatsoever).
  6. We may contact you to request that your details are used to promote this competition in any way.
  7. We will be using the personal data you provide to consider your application. Your application and personal data will be passed to the judges.
  8. No substitute prize will be offered.
  9. We shall not be liable to you under or in connection with submitting your idea for any indirect, economic or consequential loss or for any loss of profits, loss of business, loss of contracts, or loss of reputation.
  10. You must be over 18 years or over to enter.
  11. You must be a student or former student of the University of Southampton.
